User Rating: 8.6 | Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow PS2
'Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow' has really brought to you the real stealth experience, it is a major improvement from its previous installment, and a lot of small upgrades that have made this game just that much better. The single player is great, each mission challenging you to proceed through the level with caution leveling you on the edge of your seat. Every mission has its own specialty which makes the game so awesome, all level maps are completely different to each other even different from the first Splinter Cell, and all maps are really detailed and look great. Now to the missions, there are 10 missions each taking around an average time of 30 minutes to complete, some missions taking from 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes, well it really depends on how you want it to take, if you looking on finishing the mission the dirty ruthless way by using your pistol go ahead, or if your taking the slow stealth proper way, go ahead its all up to you. What a major improvement about the levels are the amount of checkpoints and save points, as some of you may know in SC 1 the amount of checkpoints, and save points were scarce, luckily they improved that major issue, it also made the difficulty of the game much easier. There are also minors things that improved this game, like the camera, new moves, better controls, and improved the stealth part of the game. To the multiplayer, the online in this game is great it gives you the choice to do different types of game like to defuse the bombs or to neutralize the viruses that are set up around the place(has to do with the story). Even if you don't have PS2 online you can still go online but you can't play with other people you can play the maps by yourself. I did that a couple of times just to explore the places and see the online. Beware though the online is way different to the single player mode, on online you only get 4 things with you your gun, flash bang, grenade, and smoke grenade. I also felt that the sensitivity of Sam Fisher increased, so it was hard getting use to the online way, and the single player way. To the downfalls i would of really liked if they would make the story mode longer, yes it does have 10 missions that are jammed packed with action, but i would of liked more missions with shorter mission length maybe 20 missions would of been awesome. Another thing i would really enjoy is the paths you can take for missions, SC 1 and 2 only have one set path i would really of enjoyed if they added other paths or ways you may take, this will add a lot more to the game because the player will be encouraged to find out what happened in the other multiple paths that he didn't take. I would also have enjoyed if the actual story was better i didn't really like the story especially the ending, a game like this needs a good story, the story for me was like nothing really happened the story wasn't expressed and told well so it wasn't a part of the game which i enjoyed. The graphics in the game were superb they were one of the main focuses in this development, although the xbox graphics are much better then the PS2's graphics they both still have the element of fun. The sound was great the choice of music well not really a choice the same song being played over and over, well its not to bad, the music makes the game feel even more tense, so the music in the game was great. The voice acting was above substantial but lower the great some parts of the game they didn't do to well while other parts they went great. This game is worth its price it comes with a lot of extras, and some behind the scenes videos with Sam Fisher. Overall this is a great stealth game, any hardcore stealth gamer should get this immediately, but to those that are just willing to see what this game has to offer i recommend you rent it first, well it really depends on your likings.
