great sequal to the most popular games of 2002, and this one packs in great online play
User Rating: 9.6 | Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow XBOX
I prefer the typical Tom Clancy (TC) game like Rainbow 6:3. I was not particularly fond of the first Splinter Cell. However, with the multi-player option I had to try it, and with rave reviews I was a sucker to buy it. Then I played it and I have not been so engrossed in a game like this in years. The graphics are spectacular. Finite things that show up on my large flat screen coupled with the surround sound I have is downright scary at moments. The single player game is so addictive that I couldn't stop playing it until I came upon a snag at the train level. So I delved into the multi-play. It is the best multi-play game I have ever played. I am not that good at it, I don't play ranked games yet. I only play two levels for comfort, yet, I strangely can not put the controller down. I like getting things whispered into my ear that are threatening before I die. I like the whole fear situation of not being able to see the spy coming from behind and choking me. Or being blinded by a flash grenade and frantically trying to run and gun and hide. I am ranked somewhere in the 60,000 range at the moment and could care less. I just enjoy the online component. I will be willing to pay for downloads for this game, the first time I have ever considered this for an online game before. This truly amazes me, because I almost didn't buy the game, considering how dull the first one was for me. I just sucked at the first one and couldn't get past the second level. I surmise that possibly the differing online gaming environ makes this game so special. But I have to admit I can't put down the single player game either. Possibly X-box is sending memetic messages that haunt me and will not let me put the game down, maybe that is why I am rocking back and forth saying such phrases as, "I am Sam Fisher" and, " I am invisible". Must buy game for anyone that has Xbox Live. This coming from a person that doesn't like sneak and peak games, but prefers all out shooters with blood dripping off the gun handle.
