Frustration to the extreme.

User Rating: 5.9 | Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow GC
Insignificant story, bland graphics and extremely frustrating save system makes this GameCube version of Sam Fisher’s second quest a game that you should avoid entirely.

Story in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow goes that a terrorist group is threatening the world with some sort of biological weapon and it’s up to Sam Fisher and Third Echelon to go and stop their intentions. That’s about it. Graphically the GameCube version looks bad and the one word here is darkness. Sound on the other hand is good and you really want to stop at times and just listen your surroundings. My and probably everyone else’s favorite is Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher’s voice.

Gameplay can also be expressed in just one word: FRUSTRATING. Your experience is completely linear from beginning to end and this is where the save system causes the game to trip itself off. Check points are mostly too far apart from one another and this creates a trial and error gameplay to the extreme. I fought my way all the way to the very last mission and then gave up: when I play a game I want to enjoy it and not to get a headache from frustration. This game just isn’t fun. On the positive side Sam Fisher himself controls pretty well, but learning all his moves will take a while especially if you haven’t played the original Splinter Cell.

I normally like stealth games including Metal Gear Solid, Thief and Splinter Cell itself, but the GameCube version of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow totally let me down. Do not play this (version of the) game.
