Silent, but deadly.

User Rating: 9.2 | Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell XBOX
When you play a video game you usually want to shoot stuff up right? Like in Halo, when you load two clips into someone's head and they still are alive. Well in Splinter Cell one well placed pistol shot is all it takes. "Your gun should always be your last resort." That's a direct quote from the game. Its true too. Although you get guns, there are only a few places they are neccesary, or even easier than to use stealth. The main way you are supposed to play this game is to avoid the enemy completely, or sneak up behind them and knock them out. You can knock an enemy out with the back of your gun, your elbow, by jumping on an enemy, and a couple gadgets you are given. Some gadgets include the sticky shocker, sticky cam, and gas grenade. At the beginning of the game you are equipped with a pistol, lock pick, optic cable, and of course the three eyed night vision goggles. The optic cable is used to see what is behind doors. Later on in the game you get thermal vision, which is used in some tricky lockpad codes late in the game. You also get your rifle, the SC20K. It also comes with a few attatchments, such as sticky shockers, diversion cameras, and other cool spy gadgets. If you are getting the Xbox version, make sure you have Xbox Live. There are three downloadable levels, which for the most part are very good. This is an excellent choice if you tired of mindlessly shooting stuff!
