Tomb Raider is a must buy for anyone who enjoys adventure games.
Lara Croft definitely looks her best yet with fantastic graphics that immerse you into the game. The story is very good and Lara is developed very well. However, all the great scenes with Lara makes the other characters seem somewhat uninteresting by comparison.
This game falls into many different genres such as Action, Adventure, Shooter (Third-Person), with some role-playing elements implemented in the form of camp sites. The camp sites give you ways to fast-travel to places on this massive island, as well as have an upgrade system. Upgrading allows you to get things like larger magazines for your guns, faster reloading for your bow, or varying accuracy enhancements. You can buy these with the game's currency system, salvage. Throughout the game you will encounter boxes and bodies that hold salvage.
The combat is some of the best I've ever seen in a video-game. To stay alive (something quite difficult to do in some instances), you will rely heavily on the game's amazing and fluid cover system. Never get stuck, never get shot.
After you beat the not particularly lengthy story, there are many challenges to complete as well as Tombs to raid and weapons to unlock. This gives some reason to come back to the game.
Overall, I can do nothing to Tomb Raider but recommend to anyone and everyone who even plays video-games.
