The early days of Lara Croft's adventures
User Rating: 6.5 | Tomb Raider (The Final Hours Edition) PS3
Tomb Raider for the Sony Playstation 3 is about Lara Croft's early days where she was starting to go discover mysteries stuff on some island, she and her crew, at first film themselves about going to this island and search for artifacts that at the time was in World War II era, where in the island, the Chinese and Japan came to claim it but some how ended living on the island. Then there's the Solarii, they came to this island before Lara and her crew, but soon wanted to leave but some how something on the island is forbidden them to leave, in which happens to Lara and her team. The gameplay of Tomb Raider is very similar to the Uncharted series mix the button pressing sequences like Resident Evil 4 and up, where you have to press a button to execute the enemy or etc. is quite difficult to perform at the time you press, like when going for a execute or dodge other stuff, the scene shows it like almost a spit seconds before you got killed, unlike the Uncharted series, you can't run and gun, have grenades to keep the enemies back. The graphics in Tomb Raider is decent, it matches the graphic that presented in most Final Fantasy series, but a bit more modern life-like look. The sound of Tomb Raider is good to some extend, but most of the time you do is climbing and going places to places, so you mostly like to hear footstep and climbing sound effects. Overall, Tomb Raider is great for those, who's into Lara Croft's character story, but those who just an casual gamer, won't find this game enjoyable by much, where there, no bosses and less enemies to shoot at, might or might not want to get this game.
Gameplay: 6- Similar to the Uncharted series, with a few things not included.
Graphics: 7- Decent models and texture.
Sound: 6- Voice acting is normal and the background environment sound seems lacking.
Value: 6- May be close to the other series like it, but just felt pale to it.
