The 8th game in the legendary skateboarding series sets the toughest challenge yet. The latest gimmick is the ability to slow down time and control the individual feet of the skater to score big during mid-air combos. Shame it barely works, so you won't try this in the middle of a trick combo because 9/10 times you'll spazz out and land on your face. The lack of online options and create-a-park feature are horrendous omissions. The harsh difficulty is initially off putting even for hardened fans but it feels much more rewarding than the previous titles when you eventually overcome a Pro or Sick challenge. So, good game, but Christ it's tough.
