Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is a disappointing game fro the PS2 because most of the features have been axed.
Graphics - The graphics look decent overall. A lot of textures are very detailed, realistic looking, and it uses a lot of beautifully rendered three dimensional environments. I never spotted and slowdowns or glitches, but the game does have long loading times.
Sound - Again the music really isn't anything mind blowing or fantastic. It's just your average punk rock and hip-hop music. The sound effects like having your skateboard grind on the rail feels recycled. The effects are average pretty much.
Game play - The controls are tight and responsive like your average Tony Hawk game, but the goals are difficult and frustrating to complete.
Lasting appeal - The lasting appeal is greatly limited because there no online modes like the PS3, X Box 360, and DS version has, and the extra features were taken away from the previous Tony Hawk games. In two player, you can still free skate, trick attack, graffiti, and horse.
The good - decent visuals, still has two player and story mode
The bad - not enough variety with modes, no online mode, create a park is absent, and you can't create a female character in create a skater mode, goals are slightly difficult
