Graphics: The graphics SUCKED! Everything seemed pixilated. The people were like little blobs on wheels. The Create-A-Board was neat, but you didn't really notice it during gameplay because of the bad graphics. But maybe I'm just used to the GameCube. Sound: The music wasn't that bad, but it got a little repetitive after a while. The menu music was actually better than the in-game music. I think that they should have put in a few songs from the console game soundtrack. It was about average for GBA games. Gameplay: The big levels were cool, much better than the old Tony Hawk games. It had lots of goals, which was good, but after a while, the goals seemed to all be like you were doing the same thing over and over again. One thing that annoyed me was that you couldn't go in certain areas until you had done certain goals. If you skated in that area, it would just send you back to the starting point. Also, the health meter thing was a stupid idea of Neversoft. When you bail too many times you have to restart. Controls: It was really hard to do combos, and it was hard doing a trick where you had to press diagonal on the D-Pad. I have big hands, and the GBA is so small. Doing manuals were also really annoying. When I jumped on a spine ramp, it did spine transfers a lot when I tried to do a grab trick. When you ollie, you come down sideways a lot and bail, and it really annoys me. Replay: Once I beat Story mode in the game, it got boring REAL quick. I beat Arcade mode a few times then it got BORING TOO. Once you beat the game there's no point in doing it again. Now the game just sits on the shelf, collecting dust. I haven't played it in about three months. They should add some extas, like secret levels more characters, and stuff like that. Neversoft really needs some improvement for the next Tony Hawk game on the GBA, or else it could just be another big disappointment like Underground is, and people like me won't even bother trying the game.
They shouldn't have even bring this game to the GBA. They just need to make too many sacrifices and that results in a bad game. I also reviewed THUG2 for the GBA awhile ago. This game is so hard due to how the level i... Read Full Review
