Not perfect, but it's the best tennis for Wii.

User Rating: 8 | Top Spin 3 WII
I've been waiting for an enhanced version of Wii Sport Tennis for sometime. Sega Superstar tennis was too kiddy, cartoonish... and so I had high hopes for TS3.

Let me say first, I'm pretty satisfied with Top Spin 3 for Wii. We've finally moved beyond something that feels like "pong" on a tennis court. There are some complex shots here to master, timing to this game, and the ability to play a full game-set match is very satisfying. Tie breaks are fun and the AI is sufficiently difficult to give this some longterm playability. Graphics are satisfactory, and while some are bashing the lack of realism or audio features.. I can't say that really is so bad as some are making it out to be. The graphics are good for Wii, and the sound is acceptable. Unfortunatly games release on Wii always seem gimped down in feature set compared to the PS3/Xbox titles. Features is what I look for. I'm fine with scaled down graphics, but I did expect the full character creation, single player tournament mode. The tournament mode here feels like a sampling of what you might expect on the Xbox/PS3, and of course the lack of online play for Wii really cripples again.

Give us an equal game design set to the other consoles, and online play and this could have been a 10 rating.
