If you love tennis, this game is super addicting, deep, and enjoyable. Sets the mold for all tennis games.
The highlight is obviously the career mode which is very long (in a good way) and you get wraped up in it pretty quick. However, career starts off really slow because you hit forehand and backhand winners like crazy against lower ranked players. Once you start playing master series and grand slams, the game really picks up, and you are determined to become the best. Training isn't that exciting nor is playing for sponsorship, but it adds a nice angel and depth to the game. Playing against the AI in grand slams can be quite challenging and keeps the game at a competative level.
Multi-player doesn't seem too fun or promising. Playing on Xbox Live is a good oppertunity to go against players who vary up their shots and a good way to test how good you really are. I played on Xbox Live online and got my ass handed to me. And I won all the tournaments in career mode!
When it comes down to it, Top Spin delivers tennis like no tennis game has done before. There's loads of tournaments to win in career and it's nice to make your own character. The graphics are great with details, sounds are realistic, and replay value is pretty good.
