Whether you are playing a simple exhibition game by yourself, or playing the career mode, or playing with 3 of your friends in a doubles game, Top Spin has everything to grip you. The graphics are great, and gameplay and animation is top notch. The sound effects are just right. When playing in a stadium the sounds of the commentators, the crowd, and of course the shots themselves in the game, are all realistic and especially come to life when using surround sound speakers! When playing in a non-stadium type setting such as a park etc. the sounds are pretty good too. Quite a few times I've seen myself and my friends being duped into thinking a bird is actually chirping around our house, when in reality it was all just in the game! Playing tennis in real life somehow never grew me despite trying it a few times, but playing it in the virtual world thru Top Spin has been nothing short of a great experience. Seasoned tennis players might it find it a bit hard to believe at the way some of the shots are made to look so easy during the course of game play (especially overhead and backhand overhead shots) but let that not be any reason to hinder you from experiencing what is probably one of the best virtual tennis experiences you can find anywhere!
