Had enough of all these D3 comparisons! this is its own game!
Now Torchlight 2 has been released, and every single review is comparing it to Diablo 3, sure the two brothers working in Runic played apart in the Diablo franchise and you can clearly see it in this game, because there's no denying the similarities. The difference being is they did it properly!
The game shouts fun from the minute you slay the first monster to picking up your first set! and yes this time you can actually field a full set before even the bonuses look crappy compared to a basic rare that you just picked up.
The art style of the game gives it alot of atmosphere and feeling, and the music is just amazing!
Your classes aren't limited to what they can do, for example you could have a berzker with a gun/bow in one hand and a sword in the other, making him a hybrid between melee and ranged, or a outlander that likes to fight up close, but with ranged skills! Its just really fantastic.
All i can say is, if you are even remotely a fan of hack n slash you have no reason not to be playing this game, especially if you have a couple of friends, and a few drinks for the good ol lan nights. You cant go wrong!
