Hits all the right marks!
This game is extremely well balanced and polished - i don't clearly recall Diablo II or Torchlight I, it's been a long time. All I know is after 20+ hours of playing this game, it's tons of fun and I wish i could play 4 classes all at once.
There's a sense of creativity, imagination and just plain fun when you play Torchlight II - take the Engineer class which in most MMO games is more of a support class.
Here you can wield a bad-ass two-handed axe OR a giant cannon, and you can have a little bot follow you around and heal you. How awesome is that?
The skill trees are well thought out, not all of them are great but they're all skill trees you *want* to try at least. The maps are huge now, and there's a lot to explore and whack.
I wish the graphics were a little bit sharper, but i understand why they aren't -
Two words: GET IT.
