This game IS Diablo.

If you're still wondering about the profoundness of the title and holding back on trying it out, let me just tell you: It's Diablo 2009. Straight from the iconic town background music to the three funkily-named yet so clear-cut characters, and if that's not telling, the downward dungeon levels, it's hard to argue Torchlight's not trying to be a makeover of the 1996 masterpiece.

Having a World Of Warcraft-inspired manga art direction, Torchlight looks and feels good to play complete with decent particle effects and fluid animations. Though not really memorable, the sound design and rest of the music fits in quite well.In my opinion, about the greatest feature Torchlight has to offer for all gamers is the humble PC requirements - offering no need for dedicated graphics card is a life-saver for gaming fans with low-end PCs, or for the office people who are willing to sacrifice their entire month of lunch breaks for this game.

Another thing, the loot is fantastic as the main reviews quoted, but anticipation tends to dwindle when all you get is a piece or 2 of a set and eventually finds that they're too dated for your current level.

Well unfortunately though, like Diablo, it doesn't support multiplayer. Given the insane success of Diablo 2's multiplayability, it's a pity Torchlight doesn't capitalise on that. But nonetheless, it's a great 20-30 hours spent no matter if you're a hardcore fan of the Diablo series or just a RPG enthusiast.
