I only played 20 minutes but in that period of time all I knew was suffering. Soundtrack was alright though.
I started out not knowing a single thing about the game I didn't know any of the characters or anything else but I went into it eager to learn more. Then we the team battle story mode actually happened, I tried to force my way through the text that was explaining the characters motives and such but I had to skip it cause I was eager to get into the gameplay. Then the first round started and I missed the wall of text.
What followed was about 9 stages of the slowest, dullest messes I've ever played. After stage 1 my spirit was dampened by stage 3 I was losing patience by the end I wanted the game to stop working. I know it might be bad for me to accuse the games poor quality but I don't care Im not having fun.
As for the story Im underwhelmed maybe its because I don't know enough of the backstory about the previous games but I just could not care about this cast, Some do look cool but looks shouldnt be everything, there was one character Eiji who was the big bad of this game but he was the main protagonist of the previous ones and I guess it was meant to be a massive shock but here is where a problem lies I have no idea who these people are! I know nothing of thier motivations, interests, hobbies etc.
If I have to say one good thing is that in between bouts of rage brought on by this garbage I was able to hear an amazing soundtrack something that seemed out of place like it belonged in another less horrid fighting game.
Now here's the funny thing you can probably tell from the above that I really, really hate this thing so I can't help but sympathise with actual fans who watched the series nosedive in quality to the point it became this mess and (as far as Im aware) this was the last ever Toshinden game. Not exactly how you want to end a franchise is it?
