Touch my Katamari Review

User Rating: 8 | Katamari Damacy No-Vita VITA
I purchased this title on a friends recommendation and i don't look back at all.
For people unaware what this game is all about (like i was), you play as Prince, a 5 mm tall demi-god as such and are simply given a time limit to collect as much junk as you can, starting only on small items like pins and growing to eventually pick up huge buildings or a giant dinosaur.
Collect things the best you can by stretching the Katamari wide or tall, once the time is over, it will be converted into a star representing your efforts.

Throughout levels you will be given the opportunity to collect special items known as Curio, Presents or Fan Damacy.
Fan Damacy can be exchanged in game for Candy Tickets, these increase your score multiplier by a set amount depending on how many you use, 3 can be used at once giving a multiplier of x8, that's very large and recommended for high scores only, trust me when i say this, save every Candy Ticket for a high score.

The score you are given is in Candies which can be used to purchase in-game clothing and music for your King.

For how long the game is can be questionable.
There are 13 levels, with 3 modes within each one, being;
Usual - Collect certain size within time limit.
K Drive - Collect certain size with lower time limit but character speed is super fast.
Eternal - Infinite time until you collect EVERYTHING!
(1 to 3 levels only had 2 modes)

If you are a Trophy hunter you'll need around 85 - 90 thousand Candies for the Platinum, this is a huge amount and will certainly take some time to achieve. without cheating!

This game is excellent and filled with plenty of over the top Japanese comedy and customisation.
8 / 10 due to being a fairly short game, and will certainly feel repetitive after some time, other than that, great fun.
