Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is a solid and good game. Its a very fun game and the characters are a treat to controll. The game play is very good and is action packed. The Graphics however are just average overall. The Transformers do look great, but the environments are far from good. They look mediocre. The cut scene graphics are great though. The combat is intense and very fun. The Transformers weapons are varied and cool. The voice acting is very good, the music is great, and the sound effects are excellent. So the sound design is great in this game. The controlls are awkward at first, but once you get the hang of them they become second nature. The controlls are good overall. The replay value is good, as it is fun to replay your favourite missions. Both the Autobots and Decepticons story campaignes are very fun to play through. The Autobots campaigne is my favourite. There are more than enough missions, but a lot of them are too short. This game is about a 5 hour play through. Just like Iron Man 2. Both games are way to short, but thats to expect from movie games. This game is addictive and its a guilty pleasure for me. Just like Iron Man 2. I love anything to do with heroes and superheroes. This is far from a great game, but it is one of my favourite games of all time. I can't wait to play Transformers War for Cybertron.
The boss fights are good, but don't last long enough. There are a total of 14 boss fights in this game. The missions are repetitive, but they are good and very fun to play. There are alot of rescue, protect, escort, destroy, and boss missions in this game. More variety to the mission types would have been much better. The regular enemies in this game are very repetitive. So if this game was a lot less repetitive I would rate this game as a great game, but because of this big problem it makes it just good overall. Free roam in this game is garbage. There is no enemies to fight in free roam, just destruction. However there are lots of good collectables to collect in the story missions, but no collectables in free roam. Some fun challenges help this game. Despite the repetitiveness I recommend this game as a good rental and a purchase. Especially if you are a big Transformer fan!
