Something you'd expect. Disgraceful attempt

Usually, i hate to compare to similar titles out there. But thats how competitve the market is these days, where 1st person shooters are compared to first person shooters etc.

So this bot game when compared to its fellow genres. It would be an in between of Gundam Seed: Rengou vs. Z.A.F.T. Portable and GTA.
Rather the expected outcome would be as such.

As you flip on your psp and load the game. The first impression is good. A strong opening FMV, though for some reason, the sounds were very soft, even at FULL volume. After which, its downhill all the way from the main menu, you can make out the rather bad textures. poorly rendered graphics.

So i start a new game, and I get to select weapons I'm not even briefed about. They're really really stupid weapons(no other words). It felt like a homebrew game when you fire those weapons.
The guns don't deal any damage. The melee approach is so bad that it feels like TMNT all over again. As you proceed, you'll be able to transform as the game suggests. But because of its extremely linear gameplay. You will see yourself travelling from Point A to Point B and it goes on and on and on. To add to my already sick feeling, the gameplay/story feels so constructed like the developers put a car there for your bot to throw at your opponent. You can almost hear the car saying, hey! throw me, over there!

It's not that I wanted to compare it this way. But I think the japanese developers put in alot more dedication and effort, creativity to come up with something of worthy detail. Gundam Seed: Rengou vs. Z.A.F.T. Portable is a perfect example of how this sort of game should be. The gameplay seamless and does so well immersing players in its various game modes.

Abit more on the control scheme. I believe most reviews have mentioned its incredibly akward control scheme which messes up your usual fps controls. I can't imagine what they were thinking. Amatuers!
As for graphics wise, it reminded me of the time, I did some java game programming for my mobile phone. If you damage a new building, you see a heap rubble the next second. How is that possible. Even in warcraft 2, buildings get damaged rapidly.

Back to this sorry game. And to sum it all up, I think developers should put more serious thought in a game. If all they can think of is coming up with a substandard game and daringly release it, then I think consumers should daringly say, that I won't lower my standards to play games of such quality. Well, at least thats what I would say. Sorry to reinstate my point but this game is an absolutely disgrace that doesn't quite tie in with the movie.
