A poor attempt at a Transformers game, that leaves a stale taste in the mouths of gamers.
The graphics are terrible!Every texture is bland and stretched. The frame rate can really drop at points when there are very few enemies on screen. The models for both the enemies and Transformers themselves, are poorly rendered. The only good points for this section, are the cut scenes, even though those aren't to great either.
The soundtrack, continually loops.Constantly playing different themes for the Transformers. The voice acting is okay. The sound effects for all the weapons sound like cap guns, and sounds you would make as a child. The whole game is done with a mediocre tone, and one that will leave you with a migraine.
The game play feels unfinished. They could of done so much with the Transformers license, but the developers failed to provide a fun game. You play as the Transformers, obviously, and basically go around shooting other Transformers. The combat is as dull as can be.It is made frustrating though,by the fact that the target lock system your given, simply doesn't work at all. That doesn't really matter though, because the enemies in this game have the most bone headed AI I've ever seen. You can also transform into a car,but it feels very sluggish, just like the controls. This just isn't a fun game.
Whats any good about Transformers?Well you can play with a friend or 3.It can be fun to try and kill each either,or just to drive around without the worry of having to kill enemies.
Final Verdict:Transformers: The Game,is simply put,a disastrous try at a Transformers game. The whole thing feels unfinished and rushed.I recommend staying away from this title, unless you want some thing to play for some laughs. If not, don't look any further into buying this game.
