It could have been alright...
So I saw the movie and playing the game seemed like a good idea. I played it about 3 hours until I got so bored I un-installed it.
What I have to say about the game is that it could have been AMAZING.
The ideas are pretty good but the way they come together is awful.
Destroyable buildings, climbind on bulding, playing as a giant robot....COOL.
But not quite...
In "vehicle" mode it's just stupid, I can't put it any other way. No sound when you go robot, in car mode you move like in Ignition ( ahh, the good old days :) ), and as for flying ... IMPOSSIBLE !! When you look down with your mouse you go that way so it's almost impossible to aim. You just have to stay still to shoot.
The campaign....boring as hell :|. Destroy x nr of little enemy bots.... That's it !
Or chase some enemy...IN THE AWFUL vehicle mode...
The game looks alright, but it is as demanding on the system as some of the top games out there :)). What can I say...DUMB.
Combat is very basic, weapons are useless....etc
Story seems "made up" at best...
If they would have worked more on the game, a next gen visual engine perhaps, advanced combat system and over all....just put more depth in the game....wow...
Maybe you've played World in Conflict. Even if it is a RTS game, the graphics and physics are amazing. The way building are destroyed...etc...
That what this game lacks. It look and plays like a 3-4 years old game with a story a that bad :).
DON'T BUT IT OR PLAY IT !!! You will just hate it or cry seeing its potential and get frustrated with the difficulty and glitches of the game.
