Trap Gunner is a very simple but strategic game involving (of course) traps, weapons, and guns. The game had a very simple controls that were always displayed so you would know which button did what. Each character in the game had their own set of traps. The traps varied from mines, bombs, gas traps, force panels, pit traps, and remote bombs. Also, each character had their own gun with a set of shots they could fire (the ammo for the guns was unlimited) and as long as your enemy was close to where you were, your character would be able shoot at the enemy, if the enemy was to far away your character didn't hit the enemy. There were items that you could pick up as well. Health, speed up, invincibility, and the special weapon called the Unit were the items you could pick up the game. Each character had their own story line that involved you to battle against other characters, disarm traps, and then battle the final boss. The game had 3 unlockable characters, and some extra stages could have been unlocked also. The game's graphics were ok but not the greatest. In all, Trap Gunner was one of those unique games that came out for the PS1. If you want a unique title to your PS1 collection, this game would be a good one to have.
