I enjoyed playing this game in its entirety. The story is interesting and there is some great dialog throughout the game. The controls are intuitive and fun to play. The old-school feel is a definite plus and the soundtrack is really quite good. I enjoyed the level diversity and the fact that new areas would become accessible only as you got certain items. The boss battles were all unique and usually involved some pattern memorizing but were all fun to learn. Also it is fun to explore the whole world until you find the item or map you were looking for just have to be sure you don't spend too much time trying to do something that you simply are not supposed to be trying to do yet because you need an item to do it. The only reason i wouldn't score this a 9 or 10 is because it had some bugs in it still. There was one boss that i literally had to defeat 3 times because it would freeze after i defeated him. Also there are some frustrating platforming parts but if you keep trying you will eventually get it. It could just be my computer not being fast enough or something but there were parts of the game where it would lag pretty bad, especially when it would be raining in the game. Overall though, the positives by far outweigh the negatives on this one. It is a must play for any indie game enthusiast.
