I'm updating my review as I'm starting to play this game again and I've found they've changed some things and overall it feels like a better experience.
So to begin with, you can choose from 4 main classes that differ based on gender and focus for a total of 8 classes. Each class has its specialty, plays differently and its ups and downs in rock, paper, scissors fashion when pvping against another class. In regards to customization, you can customize your stats and skill build. Your looks will change somewhat based on what equipment you wear, but really if you want to look different you'll need to get cash shop items.

The graphics are still the same as before. They are good as the sprites and environment have a simple and clean 2D look. But of course whether or not you like the graphics will depend on taste because the game overall has a very cute style to it. The graphics seem fine to me, nothing special but its good enough for the game and its not horrendous to look at.

When you first start, you'll go through a quick and short tutorial that will provide you with some starting equipment and a few levels. Then you can go through the storyline quests. The story is nothing really, but it does give good exp in relation to your level and the questing helps even out the playing field for the different classes as they start out. After that, really the bulk of the game is what you want to do to have fun. If you like leveling you can party to kill monsters or do monster quests to get items and extra exp. If you like to quest or make money you can try to drill for certain quest items or sell them to other people. You can also play the card minigame with other people, but its a simple diversion. You can go boss hunting for rares. Or join a guild and find things to do with them.

The music is pretty much you're average MMORPG music. I like to leave it on though to keep the atmosphere. Some tunes are quite interesting. One of the songs kind of remind me of FF7.

My Final Thoughts: Trickster Online is a free PvE centered 2D MMORPG. If you are interested in that, then I highly recommend this game. This is without a doubt one of the best free MMORPGs out there. Why? First of all, the leveling curve is not steep. It's very gradual. It's not like most free mmorpgs where you'll always feel weak, poor and have a tough time if you don't pay for items. Even if you're only playing for 2 hours a day you can be sure to level up at least once or even twice if you go to the right place and form a good strong party. There are also several different places to can level up so you won't get bored of the same places and same monsters over and over. There is a high level cap, and several job advancements to keep things interesting. Second of all, the publisher NTreev is pretty good at what they do. The server has high uptime, no noticeable hackers/botters, and they offer events where you can get free cash shop items, rares or even cash shop points. They update the game so you can always expect that something new will come in the future. If you're looking for something special, you won't find it. But if you're looking for something as solid as free mmorpgs will go then here it is.

My score reflects the fact that it is free. It is not properly scaled to a pay game.
