Triggerheart Exelica is a Japanese shoot-em-up whereas the player plays as either "Exelica" or "Crueltear". The difference in the two being spreadshot or focused shooting. The main Characteristic of Triggerheart is the "Anchor" which allows the player to grab enemies and throw them at other enemies. This is the main method of scoring points.

The story, like most games in the genre, is given little information about and is difficult to follow.The graphics are animé style and work well. The Music is techno-ey and Japanese-ey and fits the game well.

The Game is styled like an Animé but IS a difficult to master shoot-em-up. Though completing the game isn't a challenge (the player has infinite continues) playing through on either of the 3 difficulties without losing a life is near impossible.

All in all if your a fan of the genre you'll probably enjoy this game as it offers it's own unique "Anchor" system. If, however, you do not enjoy games like Omega five and Ikuruga or animé girls sicken you then mabe you'd best stick to CoD4 :)
