City building jewel.
Fun story, original set up, great graphics, well balanced game play.
It does have a few corks. For example the starting tactic seems to be pretty standard with little variation but once you got things off the grounds it is pretty free. Also a nice touch in the story line is the option of choosing different paths to achieve the same goals.
The game is a great stand alone in my opinion but it doesn't mean that it doesn't have any room to grow. Diplomacy with all the out coming effects maybe a new area the game will expand in the future.
The production tree and building options are getting more and more extensive and it really makes the game more diverse and appeals to different styles of playing.
One of my favorite aspects of the game is definitely the music. It adds an authentic banana republic feel to the game. Although I really think in comparison to the first two tropicos the sound track is a bit vanilla it still is very good and enjoyable.
All in all if you are looking for an awesome city builder this game in my opinion is by far the best out there.
