RTS City building games are few and far between these days but then one comes along and you just love it. This game came out 4 years ago and I only just discovered it.
Tropico 6 is a little tongue in cheek with some comedic elements as you play a dictator who runs a small archipleigo of 4 islands. It really is rock paper scissors, with a decent learning curve as you progress through 4 eras to modern times. Once you get the hang of it especially logisitics and the economy it becomes quite an easy game, nevertheless fun though (I did make a copule of missteps and went bust on a couple of occaisions causing me to start over from an earlier save).
This is one of those games where I have started playing and 8 hours have passed and its 5am. Unlike some city builders it's quite a relaxing game and a fun non stressful way to while away the hours unlike some other games in this genre. However once you've mastered the mechanics I suspect there is little replay value as the second time around will be much much easier.
Although this game has many DLC's they are just minor expansions, mostly cosmetic and its a pity no DLC's were released adding maybe a couple of more islands and maybe going into the future.
Graphics and sound are very good.
I have nothing negative to say about this game, other than I wish it were longer and had a definite ending.
