If you can overcome the multiple glitches (specifically the random freeze) it's a definite enjoyable game
Despite of this, let me summarize that TC:NYC has and open ended city at your disposal (really big), and a lot of different missions available, aside from main history, where you play as a thought cop with criminal origins, now reformed to fight in a special police force.
The game is, in a lot of ways, a real improvement over its predecesor, like the variety of side missions, cars, weapons, clothe, fightin styles and even music you can buy.
The graphics themselves are not too different from the ones seen in the previous title, but there are some scenarios very well done which features light reflexes and a lot of destructable enviroment, which adds a lot to gameplay.
The control style is similar also, but somehow is a a little more complex due some strange button combinations in the GC version.
Lucklily, the story sets apart from the strange inclusion of zombies and ghosts in LA version, and there a lot of rewarding "boss-missions" at the end of each chapter.
Now you can play the whole game despite your method -good/bad cop. And also, the attention you pay to the city crimes will pay having a better looking city, as well as more stores at your disposal.
Something you have to be aware is thelarge number of gltches and errors found in the game. The QA was very poor or the product itself very rushed into market, as is something frequent that the game freezes, aside form several other errors which sometimes can be funny but other can be frustrating. At least this time you can save the game at any point, and this is a recommendation to not loose your advance.
Overall is a fun game, with some great extras (even a very challenging minigame if you complete 100%), and with some glitches that you can learn to manage.
Give it a shot!
