Very , very fun to play. The best free roaming game out there.

I never played the first True Crime...but I've played the GTA games and of course loved San Andreas. But of course I'm gonna compare the 2 a little here and there :) I feel its the best free roaming type game out so far. The free roaming is way too cool with all the places you can go in to, search people and cars(and what you find YOU decide to give it over to the police or keep it and make some $$$ ). The random crimes that take place...you gonna take them down peacefully as possible ..or fill 'em full of lead. I think I have noticed some kind of frame rate delay a couple of times but it didnt effect my game play and I really didnt ponder on it too much. Oh and regaining your health is easy and fast even though you have to go in a store and buy some kind of food or drink(there is no long animation like in GTA:SA)

The cars (in my honest opinion) act realisticly. Some hard to control and others not. As far as the cars I would say the GTA cars look the best....Driv3r handle the best. TC:NYC cars I would say do come in 3rd for the games I just mentioned. You can drive and shoot at the same time too...and use "Precision Aim" while driving and shooting.

Now for the shooting in the game...very nice. Its easy to lock on people, you can carry a gun in each hand...and the way too cool part which pushes it past all of these types of games is... when you hit the R3 button it zooms in a little and goes into a slow motion mode called "Precision Aim". It can give you a little more time in a tough spot and helps alot in say a hostage situation or you just want to take out the enemy in a non lethal way.

I havent gone far in the missions yet but so far sooooo good. Over all I also would say this game is much more fun to play a cop or bad cop than to be a thug/gangster in GTA. The sound is just fine and so is the music..nice mix. If you like other free roaming/shooting/mission/driving type games like this... forget about renting it and just buy it!
