if you want GTA but only have a gamecube you should give this game a try

First lets get one thing straight, this is not like GTA. It's the same type of explore the map game, but it is deffiently not anything like GTA other then that. You are a cop in this game. You will go through story mode and you also can do side missions that you will hear over your police scanner. Unfortunatly there isin't money you can use to buy things but there is something similar you can use to acess things called badge points. You can earn badge points by doing missions and side missions. But you lose them by killing civilians(which is a pain because its really easy to accidently run them over or shoot them). Or you can also lose them by dying. The more badge points you get the more things you can acess, but again if you lose enough points you will lose acess to certain things. Example: If you need a 100 points to acess something and you have a hundred badge points you can acess that certain thing. But if you lose enough badge points to put you under a 100 badge points you will no longer have acess to that area until you earn them back. One of the annoying things is the game mainly wants you to use your pistols. But you can pick up enemy weapons but there are a few annoying things about this. 1. You can't store them, the weapon you pick up will automatically take the place of one of your pistols. 2. You can't look down the sight of any gun but a pistol. 3. You can't reload an enemies gun. 4. Enemies guns have barley any ammo in them a pistol will usually have 7 rounds in it a machine gun will have about 15. And 5 there arent that many weapons in the game. You can upgrade your pistols though and upgrade your fighting skills then learn new attacks. Fortunatly there are quite a few cars and people but for some reason the game doesn't keep the same people away from each other. What I mean is that you will see at times 5 of the same person walking past each other at the same time. Another annoying thing is that you can die really easy when you are fighting more then 1 person. Example: If you are fighting a person with a gun and a person with a knife the person with the knife might run past you and since theres auto aim your crosshair will follow the person running and you can't stop aiming at them unless you put your guns away which can resort to you fumbling with the controller while the guy with the gun behind you kills you quickly with his gun. Thats what makes the game so hard. I would recommend this game as a rental or to buy it if you can get it for 10 bucks or under.
