Plain and simple...this game is really fun!

When I saw this game the first time...i thought...eh, well, whatever. But then i actually started to keep up with it, and after time i really wanted it. My friend got it before me, so when he came over, we played, and that's when I knew...i had to have this game. The gameplay is just all around fun. The shooting is really fun and it's especially cool how you can hold an M-16 and a shotgun at once and literally obliterate your foes. The fighting aspect of the game is, for the most part, the punch/kick type thing that we're all accostumed. But, the fact that you can put cool finishing moves on you attackers whenever you can daze them after a few kicks and punches...makes it a little more unique and fun. The driving in this game isn't the best...but it's definitely not the worst, BELEIVE ME! The only real complaint that I have about the driving, is that the way the cars handle isn't that comfortable when you combine it with the analog, which is the only way to get by. But after you play for a while, you get used to it. It's really fun just to go around and frisk any random person on the street and then you can arrest them if they're carrying illegal drugs or weapons--and there are plenty of different kinds of people on the street. Solving the differnt random crimes is pretty cool also...depending on the crime. The easiest crimes to solve are probably marrital desputes that "disturb the peace". The hardest to solve are probably either car chases or shoot-outs between some maniac and the cops...and the dispatcher already says that the cops are being held down, cause those maniacs pack some heavy duty weapons. The one thing that's really really really really annoying about the game are the glitches. There are a lot of glithes in this game that can be very annoying. But if you're just a patient person or if you're more into gaming than complaining, then you can overlook those glitches. The sound is pretty good. The voice acting is really well done, and I actually laugh at some of the smart-ass stuff that Kang says. And in my opinion, the rap soundtrack actually isn't bad at all. I kind of like rap, but if you just tone down the rap just enough, then it sounds really good just hearing music playing in the backround. The animations are much much better than GTA--their hands and bodies aren't just blocks. So like I said before, this game is just plain fun in my opinion. It has the random crimes and frisking people stuff that can keep you occupied after you beat the whole game. Along with the good/bad cop rating that goes up and down depending on how you deal with different situations is also something to play around for. If you liked GTA...then get this game because it's really not like GTA too much...but if you play this game, it will make you appreciate all the cool things that this game has to offer that GTA doesn't.
