Why Is It: so important to rescue four children to defend the universe?

Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is an absolutely flawless shooter that took the first games premise and built a revolutionary and immersive First Person Shooter expierience. Turok 2 improves upon the first game in so many ways. First and foremost, you'll notice that the game is not as foggy as the first game. This is because they made the game be able to render the environments and enemies faster, and this aspect is even more boosted with an expansion pack. The game's graphics are another awesome feature. Although they look a little dated, they are still quite impressive when it comes to character models and environments, and especially , the weapons. >: )

Also, the sound is alot better, as is enemy and weapon design. There are new and awesome weapons (Cerebal Bore) as well as some returning weapons (Tek Bow). In all, there are around 20-30 different weapons in the game, and all are unique. For example, the aformentioned Cerebal Bore is a weapon that fires a small projectile into an enemy's skull and drains their brain fluid. It then exceeds to make their head (and sometimes body) explode!

Which brings me to another reason why i love this game: it's incredibly violent! :D You'll be choppin heads off with the Warblade, blowing heads off with the shotgun, draining brain matter with the Cerebal Bore, and alot more! Some enemies also have some wicked death animations! The dinozoids, the half-human dinosaurs, occasionally will press some buttons on their wrist cuff, and then proceed to stand like the crucifix and half of their body explodes! It is just so bloody and brutal, like the rest of the game. Even some enemies are grotesque. Like the Sisters of Despair: their half-women, meaning half their body is missing! They float around as their spinal cords dangle and green blood constantly erupts from the gaping wound!

The levels in the game are MASSIVE! There are only about 6 levels, but each one takes between 1 and 2 hours to complete! Thankfully there are a couple save stations in each level. Also, the game can be incredibly difficult at times, especially on Hard mode. Some bosses can be insanely hard and ultimately frustrating at times, but the game is never cheap. You always find a way through.

All in all, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is nothing but a masterpiece. It excels in every aspect of the first game while bringing some new and welcome elements of its own. It is a must own for the N64, and if you don't have one, I highly suggest you turn to emulation, because this game is a pure marvel of a game. This game greatly deserves a perfect score. 10/10
