When I first started playing this game I absoloutely hated how it played but now that I finished the game I can finally give an honest review. This game blew me away, I loved how it was an FPS but its not like perfect dark and goldeneye where you had to do objective based missions and if you die, you have to restart the whole mission again You do get objective based missions in turok but its not bad, there all spread apart and it dosent seem imposible although you have to do alot of exploration. But this is why I like Turok 2 you actually get lives and save points throught the level so you dont have to replay the whole level from scratch. Another thing I did like was how sweet the graphics look with the N64 expansion pak, everything looks hi-res but comes with a drawback the framerate can get a little choppy at times but dosent most N64 games do that somethimes? My other favorite part is how gory Turok 2 is its got to be one of the greatest things ive ever seen, theres this one part where if you kill one of the walking dinosaurs and wait a little bit they basically explode and you see all the blood go all over the place. The controls took sometime to get used to instead of using the control stick to move you have to use the C buttons to walk and strafe then the control stich is used to control the camera (Control scheme 1.2 in goldeneye) so if your used to playing like this on goldeneye/perfect dark then youll feel right at home with the controls.
in whole Turok 2 is a very fantastic game and should be played by anyone looking to pick up some games for thier N64. If your looking for a great FPS with a great adventure then I highly reccomend this game (if you have the paitence)
