Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, what a fitting name...
Why: The game consists of nothing but level after level after level of the following:
Enter level, shoot bad guys, spend hour searching for exit, enter next stage of the same level, it all looks familier, where to go?, shoot bad guys, find secret passage, shoot more bad guys, get lost for another hour, and finally find the next stage of the same level. Lost again, shoot bad guys, find key, look for door, turns out key is useless, find portal, exit level.
There is no substance, there is no gameplay. I rate this category a three because it's fun at first and is entertaining in multiplayer. Other than that, complete failure.
Graphics: 6
Why: Not bad, but not great. The blood and guts are obviously where the developers put most of their attention into. The blood oozes and splurts out of the dinosaur-men extremely realistically.
Sounds: 5
Why: Although the music does fit with the theme (monkey man killing dino-men) and the sound effects are very well done, it simply gets annoying when you play through a level and you have thumping music that never repeats, but it feels as if it does, and your trying desperately to find the next stage. Can leave you throwing your controller in utter fury at the tv.
Value: 4
Why: If it's your kind of game, Turok 2 will be great. It's simple, and it consists of raw carnage. However, if you hate puzzles and hate being endlessly searching for a way out of a level and hate games with hardly a plot or storyline to speak of, then you'll definately want another game.
Reviewer's Tilt: 1
Why: Because I hate this game. It's horrible and it's overrated.
