If you're looking for multiplayer games, you will feel lonely on the dark.
I can understand why they might think the "automatic" system is better than the old "create/join game" system, but can't they realize how annoying is to wait forever for a multiplayer game without knowing if anyone will ever join the game? They could at least display if there's someone logged on, yes or no, just a Boolean variable, but they just offer the "play anyone" and the "play with friends" buttons, and want us to stay waiting for ever?
In TV Show King 2, this problem gets a little worst. You can choose between three difficult levels, and if you're going to play 3, 6 or 9 rounds. It makes nine possibilities for a game, but they don't allow you to choose "any" difficult level, or "any" game duration. When I realized I could never find a game, I started to look only for the standard options (easy difficult, 3 rounds).
When I found some games (mostly on the weekends), I definitely had fun times. I never lived in US, and English is not my first language but TV Show King 2 can be a very good game anyway. There are 10 different categories, including "Logic and IQ" which make the questions fair for all the world, except when they ask "How many inches are in 5 feet?". If you live in country that uses metric system you probably will agree with me when I say those questions should be in the "general knowledge" category.
You can start an wii-fi game when the second player joins. You can wait for the third and fourth players but if both players press the "play with AI" button, the game starts. But the lack of a "kick" or "vote to kick" system can make you really upset. Like the other day I joined a game which had already 2 other players. I became so happy, even wondering if I would have a four-players game. But when I realized one of them was away, all the happiness turned into more frustration to the pile. Me and the other player kept pressing and un-pressing the "play with AI" button, but it was useless since the third player was away, and there is no countdown system. We even tried to leave the game and look for another game, but we were sent to the same game where the away player was.
Between rounds players can choose to spin the wheel, for earn points and, of course, to lose points. The problem is this roulette is way too powerful. If you are doing a perfect game, hitting all the answers, another player with 0 points can swap his points with you. Or if someone hits the "double your cash" or "win $7500", the game stops being about knowing the answers, but being a good roulette spinner.
I'm really a multiplayer guy, I guess 95% of my playing time is multiplayer. The most I play single player games, or campaigns, careers is 10% of my playing time. I played TV show king 2 single player only once, in general it's a good game. If I would rank it just for the multiplayer I'd give 3 or 3.5 because of the problems I mentioned.
