An epic, yet underrated action/adventure from Adeline Software!

User Rating: 10 | Twinsen's Odyssey PC
Twinsen is a small and versatile being from the planet Twinsun, married to Zoe (who is pregnant by the way). He lives in the peaceful Citadel Island, where this adventure starts. His loyal pet "Dino-Fly" is struck by lightning and crashes in their yard. At the beginning he is simply trying to find a cure for his trusted companion. The healing wizard from the nearby Desert Island can help his friend, but the ferries cannot cross the sea, due to the nasty storm covering Citadel Island. As Twinsen finds the weather wizard, he manages to clear the weather and then, something unexpected happens. The aliens known as Esmers land on Twinsun and boy, are they weird. They say they come in peace, but is that really the case? Twinsen's odyssey starts at that very moment.

The game's strong point isn't in its visuals, although they manage to give a unique feeling and they are a perfect match for the gameplay. Twinsen has original behaviour-based abilities. When you are roaming you activate Twinsen's sporty behaviour, in which he can travel long distances pretty quickly. When you are engaged in a fight you activate the aggressive behaviour, in which he is able to fight multiple enemies by punching and kicking them. When you need to be silent and pass unnoticed like a thief, you activate the discreet mode, where you are able to make small and precise moves. There is also the normal behaviour, which is rarely used.

In the game you fight enemies, talk to people, solve puzzles, pass trials, use various vehicles, wear disguises, and you often get to improve your powers, a fact that enriches the game with rpg elements.

Little Big Adventure 2: Twinsen's Odyssey is an enormous conductor of positive energy. From the first moment it enables you to participate in a fictional, yet extraordinary world. A world filled with polite beings, magical creatures, lovely sceneries and a lot of variety (plus great music). It is an undoubtedly epic game, with an extremely smart plot and a lot of depth. It is a must "retro" game for every serious gamer's collection. It is a unique and complete experience that bears no resemblance to anything that you have tried before.

For Sendell's sake, just play it and see for yourselves!
