One of the best 32-bit video games around.

Nostalgia is one of the most important aspects about games you played when you were growing up. I remember being 11 when I got this game. I played it every day after school with my friends and it was probably the happiest time of my life.
We're still playing it atleast once a month 9 years later. The game has aged really well. Of course, like all 32-bit games it looks very grainy in comparison to games of today. The frame rate is also pretty poor but none of that matters. It's the gameplay that matters.
This is one of the first games I've played that combined driving with strategic death matching of games like Quake. On each level you have to blow every other car up. Strategy comes in with diferent attacks you can do with your energy. You can fire a freeze ray, plant mines, fire napalm, jump, put up a temporary shield and even turn invisible. Thats why this game isn't simply a drive and shoot game like the Vigilante series, which completely ripped twisted metal off.
The music is amazing at times. Especially on the Moscow level. I love the riffs in that song so much it's the thing that made me pick up a guitar for the first time. If any of you guys want tab for it, please contact me =)
This game has aged really well and I urge anyone who is a fan of games like Carmageddon to pick this game up. You really won't regret it. It's one ofthe most playable games I've played ever.
