Non-stop fun.

I first played this game when I was 8 years old on a hotel TV with a game controller attached to it. I completely sucked at it, but I was instantly hooked. Fast forward 12 years and here I am still playing it, loving every bit of it just as much as I did when I first picked it up. The characters are wacky and insane, the combat is challenging and fun, the cars are well balanced, the comic book-style cutscenes are very cool and the endings are memorable as well as fantastically twisted, laced with a dark, sadistic sense of humor. The game is very straightforward in its premise: kill all other enemies before you move to the next battleground. Do not be deceived by the simplicity of its concept, however, Twisted Metal 2 is a very difficult game on the HARD difficulty setting and requires a decent amount of skill to play past the harder levels even with the toughest vehicle. (that is, without using God Mode or looking up the level codes online) The only complaints I have is that the cars tend to clip to objects and flip over a lot. The controls are also kind of hard to get used to at first, but easy to use once you've gotten the hang of them, and once you've learned all of the D-pad combo attacks, you'll be pulling off some very satisfying kills. All in all, this game is a classic and just a whole lot of fun to play. Hopefully, I will pass this game on to my kids so future generations can enjoy it as well.
