One short but addictive game for those who enjoy blowing cars to shreds.

If you are a fan of the Twisted Metal series and own a psp, look no further for a game you will enjoy. Twisted Metal:Head On brings the simple fun that could be found on previous twisted metals. The graphics are pretty good for a psp, everything looks smooth for the most part. The story pretty much consists of the classic Calypso holds a tournament and the winner gets a wish. Once you beat the game with each character, you get to view a little clip of what they wish for, no real point other than a little fun. The sounds for the weapons and such are well done, and the soundtrack consists of pretty much generic rock. Nothing too special, and it gets annoying after a while. The gameplay is where it is truly at. The controls could be a little tighter. Other than that, they feel good. There are many cars to choose from, and some more that are unlockable. I played the online, and was not impressed at all. Maybe it was just a bad level, but there wasn't much fun to be had, although the lag was minimal. The only real negative thing I have to say is that the gameplay gets repetitive fast but fun nonetheless. Also the story mode is extremely short, you could probably beat it within a few hours, but you can still play through with different characters. Overall this game is a must. It shouldn't be missed by anyone with a psp. It should be only about $20 now, so go ahead and pick it up.
