Fun, simple, and had it had an extra layer of depth, it would have been great, but unfortunately this game is simply good. All you basically do in Head-On is shoot other cars, which is mildly satisfying, but you will soon learn that this game becomes cheap and boring whithin the first 10 hours. The controls are tight, if you use the d-pad (the anolog stick control is horrible), and overall it can be good fun. The visuals and sound are both good, but you wont find anything outstanding, but I must admit that the enviroments are very well done. The story is short (about 4 hours) but it is fun to go through it again and again with different characters to unlock their special endings, some of which are really interesting. You also unlock the cars of the bosses you've beaten, although I found that I absolutely could not beat the last boss without a cheatcode. There is also online which is alot of fun and gives the game some longevity.
