This was one of my first games for my PSP (along side Burnout: Legends and GTA:LS) and I gotta say its a good game. I put this baby in browsed through all the characters and I was glad to see that some of the classic characters have returned. By classic I mean Twister, Thumper, you know...classic! Anyways, I chose one of my two favorite characters (Sweet Tooth) and began playing. The first thing i noticed was that the battle grounds were far less smaller than the ones we were introduced to in TM:Black. Also the vissuals are good but are nothing to scream about. The characters are modelled well and the backgrounds look fine, but everytime you play, you sort of wish there was a little more detail. And remember those awe-striking missle trails that lit up the dark and gloomy suburbia landscape as their projectiles caused emmense havok? well they've been dumbed down. They arent a complete dissapointment, but now its more like "nice trail" unlike in TM:Black when it was like "DEAR GOD!!!" overall the graphics are suitable but nothing fantastic. The gameplay is pretty fun albeit repetetive. TM:Black took away the repetetiveness by giving you immensly large levels to fight in. In TMLH-O the levels are small so you probably will have seen all the level has to offer in about 5 minutes. Also the controls are kind of hard to get used to. Its not Incognito's fault, its just that the darn PSP is too small and therefore it is alil harder to manuever. But on the bright side, we still have enviromental attacks, and there are still destructable landmarks (remember Paris from TM2...its back!) now before i go on...For me the main modes for me were story mode due to the movies and the multiplayer. Firstly, for story mode, i gotta complain that the movies are alljust drawings and no real live action movment. this worked well with TM:B but for head-on you cant help but feel a lil ripped off. Now moving on to multiplayer. Ah...this is the place to be. Multiplayer whether ad-hoc or infra. goes by smoothley and it can be quite entertaining. and all the options you get for your matches surely add variety. My final and biggest complaint is that it lost the Macabre art direction of Black. Anyway, in conclusion whether you are a TM fan or not, this game is good, but dont jump into it expecting TM:Black quality.
