I want the person's head who quoted: 'like oblivion, but on steroids'. £50,000 reward.
However due to other releases such as Fallout 3 and Civilisation Revolution. This game was pushed to the back of my 'To play' file. However in the run up to christmas, I was lacking in new games to play, so I popped this sucker in and gave it a go.
I can safely say, this game is one of the most broken and horrific excuses for a role playing game I have ever endured. The most notable problem this game suffers from, which is present from the first screen. Is a terrible, and I heavily emphasise TERRIBLE. Frame rate and graphics. How a game in this day and age can suffer from this much lag is beyond me. And what also puzzles me, is that the graphics look like they belong on the Playstation 2. It doesn't seem like it has a lot to cope with. Compared to Oblivion, which has beautiful graphics and a solid frame rate throughout the game.
The controls are also broken, they're unresponsive and make the game much harder to play than it should be. Most of the times I died was not because I lacked skill, but more because of the terrible hit detection and half-arsed controls. I still cannot figure out how on earth to cast magic spells. But then I asked myself, do I really give a c@!#p?
I'm not going to go into any more detail, however, if you have read all of this, you have my thanks, and if you see this game, stay away. Go buy a game like Fallout or Oblivion instead. It will be more worth your hard earned cash.
