My complaints with this game are minor, it's a terrific fighter.
But I can tell you it is a seriously fun game, well worth the purchase.
It's Mortal Kombat. What can I say?
You do battle against the forces of out world, eventually toppling Shao Khan and becoming Champion of Mortal Kombat.
You do this in several rounds of gory, martial arts, fireball flinging action.
The graphics mightn't seem especially impressive now, but they're still great - I love the use of the digital actors. Sounds are fantastic. The music is spot on and atmospheric.
Brilliantly composed, really. And the voice overs!

It's all good.
This games better with a friend, of course.
Whether you wish to play a two on two match or an eight player tournament, it's all brilliant fun.
Theres also online capabilities if thats your thing.
Perhaps the only thing that somewhat bothers me about the game is the difficulty of the computer opponent. I can generally do fine right up to an endurance match and from there I just get my butt kicked over and over.
Fortunately I'm persistent, and will eventually beat them.
But some people mightn't have my patience.
