There have been no recent Spider-man games that allowed you to play as Vemon. I am not a huge Spider-man fan (in general), and when I heard Vemon was a playable character I thought that was really cool. I never thought I would actually get the game, but when it started getting great reviews (meaning IGN and other places excluding Gamespot's random score???) I had to get it. It has not disapointed. And Vemon is awesome! If you played the Spider-man movie 2 video game, you have pretty much played this game. Though some things take place in real time rather than a cutscene triggering them. In the Spider-man movie 2 video game random peds would have a small mission for you, you would have to talk to them to get the mission. In Ultimate Spider-man these small missions happen at any given time while playing the game. So, if a ped is hanging from a building and about to fall, you can ignore it, watch them (hehe), or help them. Or you can play as Vemon who, instead of web swinging (which is for wusses), he makes gigantic phking leaps across the city. And he can swallow peds viciously to heal himself. He is an awesome character to play as in an open environment. The camera in this game though, may get on your nerves sometimes. The audio is good. All the VOs sound good, and the music is this neet like Spider-man techno I guess you could call it. It is pretty catchy. All the sounds like web swinging or crashing into the environment sounds great. This game is not all that long. You can do all kinds of small missions, races, and combat tours to keep it going. Once you beat the game though, you can play as Vemon all you want, which for me extends the playability because I like to torture the civilians. Vemon even has his own races and things of the sort. Overall, the game is just a lot of fun. You don't have to be a big Spider-man fan to enjoy this game, I wasn't. But I did really like Vemon, always have. And if you like vemon, you really should get this game. I got it for $49.71, I don't think it is worth THAT much, but if you find it for $40 or less, get it.

I'll be honest. I was so disappointed with this game, I couldn't even return it. It's been sitting in my drawer for months, along with other pearlers such as Jedi Starfighter. Who knows, maybe I'm hoping there'll be s... Read Full Review
