Why buy, it's so dissapointing.

First off, the gameplay. The core formula remains relatively the same as in the last Spider-Man game. You free roam around a open city waiting for the next task to accomplish. The problem with these tasks is they grow repetitive and boring. You also have to accomplish a certain amount of goals to drag on the already short story. The other problem is that fights quickly become a button mashing fest because Spidey has a limited arsenal compared to the last game. You do get to play as Venom, which is fun for a little while, but also becomes repetitive.

Next, the graphics engine in the game. The game has a cel-shaded, comic book look to it that gives it that feel like your part of the comic-book. There are some pretty impressive effects in this game, but none of that matters if the rest of the game is crap.

The sound in the game is pretty solid and will help to immerse you in the game world. The voice acting is decent with different actors conveying their voices to the game. The overall sound though, is not impressive on any level.

The rest of the game, well, let's just say you can finish it in under five hours. The game is way too short and there is really no incentive to keep playing it. The game does offer a small amount of unlockables. The problem is none of these will really hold your attention.

In conclusion, if your a fan of Spider Man, then this game is worth a rental. But no one, not even fans should consider purchasing this game.
