Aim to be different. That was my personal motto. And it clearly shows when I surprised many of my peers who are brainwashed by the scorn that is Overwatch; a game full of unnecessary hype from Blizzard that did not pull any interest. Which is why I'm enjoying myself with Resident Evil Umbrella Corps.
That's right ya haters. I'm enjoying Umbrella Corps...VERY MUCH!
A spin-off of the Resident Evil franchise that aims to be a competitive shooter in its own right and I personally say they've succeeded. It doesn't try to rewrite another story or change an alternate timeline (like Operation: Raccoon City). It's all about in-your-face action that's more focused here so all you silly COD-style Widowmaker campers can shove it! It's all about the rush that many reviewers have ignored because they are so focused on hiding from danger and taking cheap shots with snipers....well there are no sniper rifles here in Umbrella Corps and I'm not complaining!
The haters who gave this game low scores are definitely snipers who simply camp away and take pot shots at unsuspecting players. Because they are so used to this tactic, any game without a place to camp is a minus to them. Umbrella Corps takes that away and adds a fast pace theme that works with their theme of the game.
Capcom promises free updates ahead and I already cannot wait for it. If you think Umbrella Corps is not worth your time then you're dead wrong like the many haters who gave this game a low score.
