It's stunning visuals and great voice acting, makes UC2 what it is. But other than that, it is horribly overrated.
First, lets talk about the good. The first thing you will notice is the graphics, the best way to describe the graphics are the graphics of Avatar. Nothing come close. The voice acting is both great, and gives all the characters more personallity because of the huge diffrence between voices. Other than some characters that were big in the first game, but were barelly mentioned in this game, the characters are very memorible and distinct.
Now with the bad. The story mode is fun and has its moments, but unfortunatly, very shot. I finished it in about 8 hours. I find the story to be quite predictible, if you have ever watched any Indiana jones movies, you pretty much no the bare bones of the story. Another thing with this is game is its replayability is virtually not existent. Although people will argue that the treasure you find out throught the game gives you a motivation to replay, I find the treasure a failed attempt to make me play again. Sure you can get a new pair of panties with the money you earned, but that is not enough to make me want to play again.
Its multiplayer is a discussed topic to, people were talking about how the multiplayer is so great. I strongly disagree, the one pet peve i have with the multiplayer is how many live you have. It takes an insane amount of bullets to kill one person. i will stick with Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, or any other shooting game for game for that matter.
Uncharted 2 is good enough to get a editors choice award, but definitly not good enough to get a Game of the Year award. Its weak story and multiplayer is this games downfall. In conclusion, its stunning visuals and great voice acting makes uncharted 2 the game it is, but other than that, it is a horribly overrated game. RENT IT, DONT BUY IT.
