Its one of those gems that is worth buying a console for ! THE GREATEST ACTION ADVENTURE OF ALL TIME.
tomb raider and action game series, Uncharted drakes fortune was for me
everything you would want in a action adventure, very impressive.
So what about uncharted 2 ?
after completing it today , its pure and simple that this is one of [if not the]
greatest action adventure of all time.
AS a Metal gear solid fanboy , it annoys me to see MGS4 with a 10/10
rating, and uncharted 2 as a 9.5. It should be the other way round , but heck
thats how things are.
uncharted 2 is simply what action adventure games should be like. both
uncharted games simply make the tomb raider series look dated , dull and boring,[im tomb raider fanboy too] .
its one of those gems that you want to play again and again , its simply that
great.
AS a sequel , its everything. Bigger , better, more fun , better plot,
as if playing a movie , and your controlling the main lead.
There was not a single DULL point in this game , for the course of three or four
days , i completly forgot that games such as MW2 or fallout existed,
uncharted 2 draws you into its intresting plot , and doesant let you go .
At first i saw the hype around the game , and never really got to to trying it out , until now . Its a game i dont think i will be trading.
GRAPHICS. 9/10
superb , next gen , what we paid our 300 bucks for. lush enviorments
great colour , youd think its a movie . MUCH MUCH better than drakes fortune. I was astonished by the visuals , great locations, superb scenery.
and colour. It just felt like something out of indianna jones .
GAMEPLAY. 9/10
this put tomb raider, and mgs4 to shame. sorry but you have stealth , and action soo well balanced that you wont feel as if the game is making you play to a certain pattern , you decide strategy , weather all out guns or stealth.
the shooting , different types of weapons, and many different enemies , in which you must decide how to tackle. Hand to hand combat thanks to some great animation , the way drake moves is great , and so is the AI.
you will encounter many types of enemies with different weapons.

drake himself a great charachter simple, and decent sense of humour, and quite innocent.
SOUND 10/10
the music and atmoshphere are fantastic , hollywood all over, love the sound effect and music at each different level. Sometimes it feels as if it is really a movie.its just class , i cant say anyhting else. the music suits the locations, nothing seems out of place. AND it does not have cut scenes with 20 mins of talking. Which i wouldnt mind on this game. ...actually forget i said that.
LONGTIVITY. /difficualty
it can be completed in two to three days, but the game is soo forgiving , you wont get frustrated on levels, becasue you are helped by hints. Gone are the days of tomb raider 2 where you need a guide and would be constantly frustrated by missing a jump and dying , and spending ages looking for keys and items.
Then the multiplayer which i cant touch on much , as ive had only one match.
but i liked what i played . and will play more on it. give mw2 a rest for a while.
YOU DO HAVE TO USE YOUR BRAIN on this game , puzzles are to be solved BUT .... you are helped if the game thinks your taking to long.
but its made in a way that its fun and enjoyable.
anything for the future,
would be great to see a more advanced plot , more about the history of each destination, bit like indiana jones, of course this game does do that , but not to the extent . bit more detail in the plot. So for eg, more locations.maybe.
but thats not for me that important.
but the locations on this game MUCH MUCH better than the last. this game in fact was a whole new experiance ,...almost compared to the last.
OVERALL
this GAME needs to be PLAYED if you own a PS3 , its just too good to be missed .
FOR me its one of the greatest games ever to be released, its worth the money, its a MUST buy, i cant think of another action game which deserves more attention, heck i loved MGS4 , but i unlike uncharted 2 , .. i never wanted to play it all over again.
IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE STUCK ON TH FENCE OVER THIS GAME[ which i think their rarely are]
treat yourself to his masterpiece. it wil take you on a ride, which you wont regret.
now i cant wait for the third .
