Fun game. Great environments. But, I've seen this before. The same formula as the last ones, but nothing new.
Amy Hennig makes great games. I've been following her games, since Soul Reaver. It just feels like I've played this before, with nothing really new brought to the table. Also, the story is clearly inspired by several movies that we've all seen before. Same game play and same formula.
In order for this story to continue to be epic, we've got to change things up a bit. The game is too formulaic. Chasing some item, and trying to get it before some bad guy. In the end, there will be supernatural elements. We just need to go into a different direction.
Just like some movies, we saw all the exciting parts in the trailer. To have the desert crash sequence as the trailer opened your eyes to this game. Once you got to that scene, they should have done something different and not just replay the same video, just to make it fresh and not feel the same.
I still gave this game an 8.5 because it truly is a great game, but it just wasn't epic.
