Great game...while it lasts
User Rating: 7.5 | Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception PS3
I rented Uncharted Drake's Deception for two days from family video because the trailer looked epic and the cover was very intriguing. the game started out awesome, with a great-looking bar fight. the action was very good, making you want to crank out the 'ol AK-47 every single second of the game. the puzzles were clever, but sometimes carried on for too long. the story was great, making Marlowe and her henchmen seem like complete and utter demons. now those were the good comments. the thing that didn't make me give this game a nine or ten was the replay value. the levels, after beating them THE DAY AFTER I RENTED IT, are good the second time around, but become old the third or forth time. levels such as Caravan, Abduction, and Cruisin' for a Bruisin' are re-playable, but they still become old. jumping onto the same flooded cruise ship and hearing your character shout the same cuss words as the elevator glass breaks under his feet can just get downright repetitive. as i was playing it on my second day of renting it i was dying to play Enemy Territory Quake Wars again. i can't speak for the multiplayer, for i don't have the online component. maybe if you are a serious multiplayer gamer than you would find more enjoyment out of this. i also cant tell you if this game is an improvement over the past two games because i haven't played them. but rent this game if you want to play it. don't waist thirty or forty bucks on it.
